Antipersonnel mines, the Devil’s Weapon

The purpose of anti-personnel mines is not to kill enemy but to severely injure them. By keeping enemy soldiers alive while wounding them and forcing to devote personnel to rescue them. It also lowers the motivation of the enemy by showing the pain of soldiers who have lost a part of their body due to a landmine.

Even after the conflict is over, the land left behind by landmines cannot be used for road construction, agricultural development, or tourism, resulting in a huge economic loss to the region and hindering reconstruction efforts.
