We, IOS participated in the international conference of the GICHD (Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining) held from November 14 to 16, 2023. We were assigned a stand  to display information about DMR and were given the opportunity to make a speed pitch in the conference hall.

GICHD is an international organization established in 1998 with the support of 23 countries around the world, including Japan. It conducts research and provides information to improve demining methods and technologies.

In March 2023, we presented about DMR via online meeting to the person in charge of researching demining efficiency at GICHD . At that time, the person in charge in GICHD invited us to participate in this conference. During the three days of the conference, as more than 300 people from over 200 organizations from more than 60 countries and regions around the world participated, we were able to communicate the concept of the demining robot DMR to many people involved in humanitarian demining, and we received valuable feedback.

The DMR program is currently operating in Cambodia, but we felt confidence that DMR could be deployed in other landmine contaminated countries.
