\nMany landmines are still buried in the ground long after the war ended continued to indiscriminately injure and kill people. In 1995, a Japanese construction machinery company began working closely with the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) to modify excavators for demining operations.<\/p>\n

For areas where heavy machinery cannot be accomodated, another company provided a solution. Their remotely operated robot utilizes compressed air to carry out demining quickly and safely. These innovative technologies from Japan are helping to relize a Mine-free-world.<\/p>\n
